It's no secret how much a service dog can help a disabled person. What most people may not know is how much it costs to get a service dog. It takes up to 24 months to properly train just one service dog and the cost of care and training for a single service dog during that training period is approximately $15-$25,000.
Most people can't cover the costs on their own and Insurance doesn't cover this cost, Medicare doesn't cover this cost, the only option most people have is to raise donations.
I've lived the last eight years with an amazing service dog by my side, but then cancer took him away from me. A service dog isn't just a convenience, it isn't just a companion, a service dog literally provides a level of independence and freedom that nothing else can.
You can help me replace my service dog by making a Donation using PayPal. If you don't have a PayPal account you can still make a donation as a guest, just pay by credit card on the PayPal website.
With every donation I get that much closer to regaining the independence I lost when my service dog passed away.
